Day 2 and two recent projects

Karen has been going great guns with the In Miniature classes which have become more and more popular, so much so that she is now teaching 2 classes every month.
This project was created by Karen for In Miniature No 19 and is one of my favourites. Unfortunately Karen was to ill to teach the repeat class on Tuesday so I took this photo to cheer her up
IMG_1725 and her is a peek at the book they made.
Don't forget, after the two classes for In Miniature No 20 Karen will only be doing one In Miniature per month PLUS she will also be going back and teaching some of the first In Miniature Classes by popular demand. The first is taking place in June and will be the Carousel Book.
Last week I taught a class called “When we were young”. The idea was to make a book about yourself based on your birth year and years that stand out in your life. Everyone had a good time and we had great fun reminiscing about our childhood and what we remembered Here is a look at the book.
P1090222 No caption picture today but I will have another on tomorrow. Have a good day.

It begins……………….

So lets start this photo fest with a few pictures of our younger scrappers. For those of you who don't know, we hold a kids class once a month where we make either scrapbook pages (normally A4 size) or perhaps a simplified version of one of our fortnightly mini book classes.
We have all been amazed at how talented these kids are and how fast they pick things up. In the April class we had two birthdays so here are a few candid shots.
bIMG_1419 Who is that strange woman in the background? She gets in all the photos:)
It was a great class, everyone worked really well and the cakes were awesome!!!
Next a few of the photos from Aprils Limited Edition class with some of the works in progress.  Even though we make at least 10 examples using the class kits, everyone looks at the papers and manages at least one original layout. Sometimes the papers really talk to some people and they churn out 5 or 6 layouts in a class.
If you live to far away to do these classes at the shop, we do offer a kit only version with a how to magazine included in the price. This is becoming a popular way to take part for those of you who can’t do Saturday classes.

And my candid shot for today is this one.
bIMG_1473 Can you think of a caption to go with this photo. Leave your suggestions as a comment. Have a great day and Karen hurry up and get better.
Off to bed now as I’m doing another 2 classes today. Night, night.

Karen is still very poorly

so for the next few days you are going to have to put up with me. I have taken loads of random photos over the last few months including customer projects, class layouts and great photos of some of our ladies in action. So check back later this evening after class and I will start putting some of them on here. I think I can see some worried faces already:)

What a HOOT….

We all loved Gayles latest card class especially the beautiful owl which Gayle drew especially for the occasion. Everyone who came to class got a template in their kit so I’m sure we will see a lot more owl cards in the near future.
Here are some of the photos I took the day after.
The wire glasses really finish this owl off.
Look at the wonderful moon in the background. This was made using acetate,  Glossy Accents, tissue paper and distress ink pads. Oh and a bit of glitter throw in for luck. It really shimmers.
This owl was set on an easel card and was the card made in class. The tree and leave templates were also included in the kit.

And of course we also had to have an owl made from metal. Isn’t he cute?
IMG_1626  Watch out for more classes coming from Gayle soon. Lovely work Gayle:)

Ok so while Karen was explaining her class and doing a show and tell, I took some photos of her class. Don't they look happy. I so wanted to do this that I'm making this project at home for myself. If you come into the shop you will see karens Special In Miniature Class taught at the crop. Scrummy:)

Karen will be teaching In Miniature No 20 in May. The Saturday class is sold out but there are still a few places on the Tuesday repeat. You can find it here.
